The St Michael Environmental Stewardship Ministry, along with the AAMEN Group, are partnering with Kramden Institute and TerraCycle to collect electronic waste and other household items. The event is scheduled for November 5th outside the Archangel Hall Gymnasium from 9 AM to 1:00 PM.
Electronic Waste
Donate your unwanted electronics – Reusable equipment will be refurbished by Kramden Institute and distributed to families in need.
We accept:
- desktop computers, laptop computers, LCD monitors
- peripherals (microphones, keyboards, hard drives, RAM, flash drives, power cords, VGA cables, etc.)
- servers, enterprise networking equipment, tablets, and cellphones
We will NOT be able to accept:
- CRT Monitors, printers, scanners, shredders, stereo speakers, TVs & flatscreens
- Household appliances, consumer electronics, lamps or bulbs
Household Items
The following “waste” items will be collected for recycling through Terracycle. Help keep these items out of landfills and raise funds for St. Michael School.
- Empty writing instruments (e.g., pens, mechanical pencils, markers, Sharpies), glue sticks, watercolor dispensers, and paint sets
- Empty toothpaste tubes (with caps left on), used manual toothbrushes, toothpaste/toothbrush packaging, and floss containers (floss picks not accepted).
- Empty Go-Go Squeeze pouches and similar (with caps left on)
- Late July® Snacks and Chips packaging
- Bakery bags (from products including Thomas’ English Muffins and bagels, Sara Lee bread)
- Brita filters, bottles and packaging
- Burt’s Bees personal care, lip care, and beauty care packaging
