BLACK HISTORY MONTH RESOURCES

Throughout the month of February, the African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization Network (AAMEN) hopes that you and your family have taken opportunities to participate in Black History Month activities in person or virtually. As we close out the month the following are additional occasions to learn more.
- St. Thomas More, Chapel Hill, Image and Likeness Committee “Black History Month: Catholics and Racial Healing Series, every Monday at 7pm on Facebook.com/stmchapelhill. Previous Monday presentations are also available on Facebook.
- There are also several resources available on the National Black Catholic Congress website. https://www.nbccongress.org/
- The Town of Cary continues to host a number of activities including this Saturday, February 20th at 9am the “Future of Black History an Online Experience”. The event is free however registration is required at http://shorturl.at/grCO2 .
Did you know that Amanda S. C. Gorman who wrote and delivered the inspirational 2021 inaugural poem, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ055ilIiN4 is a member at South Central Los Angeles’s historically Black St. Brigid Catholic Church and a recent Harvard graduate?
