St. Michael Youth Review:
"Throughout the movie the main character lost and found his way with Christ and his family. He learned the hard way how to value his family, and got through the struggles of overworking as well as forgiving his father. I'd say the message was great, but might be a little hard for younger children to grasp the concept. The movie was also very "slow" because of how low the production value is, so children might not be able to stay engaged. I also love how the women were portrayed as very patient and so faithful even though I couldn’t have possibly stayed sane with his behavior. Overall a great movie, nothing inappropriate, so anyone could watch it." - Ava
“Coming Home is a good Christmas movie about how important family quality time and prayer are. It follows a busy doctor who comes home to his family for the holiday after his father passes away. However, the production value is a little low and the story is long and drawn out. Young kids might have trouble staying engaged and it's a bit sad to see the main character neglect his family. There's no inappropriate content, so anyone can watch it.” - Owen
“This movie talks about the importance of always putting your family first. John (the main character) is a busy but hard worker and when he comes home for Christmas break his family is not so happy with him. He learns throughout the movie to work on his anger and that praying can help. The movie quality was low and there were too many highlights. The story was very informational and portrayed a good lesson. Although, it went quite slow and would easily lose the attention of younger viewers.” - Arni
