Hello! My name is Fr. Michael Burbeck, and I am the pastor here at St. Michael’s. I have the privilege of serving the people and staff of St. Michael's by creating a shared vision and supporting all to fulfill our mission of discipleship to Jesus in every aspect of parish life.
In my time off, I enjoy golfing, reading, and listening to music, especially sacred and classical music. I am the youngest of two siblings and a very proud uncle to my older brother's three children. Though I grew up not far from St. Michael's, my brother and his wife and children now live in Massachusetts along with my parents. My favorite verses of scripture are Psalm 127 and Matthew 11:28-30, both of which remind me to depend on Jesus and not my own strength!
I love encounters with parishioners in small group settings, meeting people at the most important moments of their lives (baptisms, weddings, funerals), and collaborating with our excellent staff to constantly improve our parish life in worship, education, and service. Please stop after Mass to say hello - I look forward to getting to know you!
