Hello! I’m Kathleen Hogan, and I am the Chair of the Pastoral Council at St. Michael. My main role is to guide our discussions and activities to align with Fr. Scott’s vision for our parish. I’ve been a parishioner for 24 years, and I have three children, two of whom graduated from St. Michael School.
In addition to my role on the Council, I’ve been involved in several parish ministries, including serving as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, helping with Sacramental Prep, participating in Reach More, Walking with Purpose, and various book studies, as well as volunteer roles at St. Michael School.
What I enjoy most about being on the Council is working alongside an amazing group of people who are committed to making a positive impact in our large parish community. If our efforts bring even one person closer to God, it’s all worth it.
Outside of my Council duties, I love hiking, playing pickleball, and reading. In my professional life, I’m a Software Implementation Specialist for a small company. The skills I’ve developed in this role have helped me think in an organized fashion and learn to use Realm as a communication tool for this role.
My advice to anyone considering getting involved in parish activities is to give it a try! It’s a great way to grow closer to Christ through fellowship and service, while also connecting with others who share your values and interests.
