WELCOME NEW STAFF! (FATHER’S FAITH NOTES: APRIL 18, 2021)

I am very happy to share with you a few new developments for our clergy and staff. First, beginning Monday, April 19th, Ms. Laura Coronilla will move from her part-time role in Faith Formation to full-time as our new Parish Receptionist. Laura will be at the front desk in the Trinity Center from 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. This will allow us to better serve you by having someone full-time to answer the office phone, greet you and help you with Mass intentions, event registrations, and the whole range of parish life. We will also continue to staff the welcome desk at the entrance to the Church from 9am-11am. I know that Laura looks forward to this new role and to getting to know you and help you and our office staff.

Secondly, we are fortunate that Bishop Zarama has assigned Deacon Andrés Arévalo, one of our seminarians who was ordained to the diaconate just this past Saturday, to be with us for a pastoral year internship. He will be at the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, NE this summer for a spirituality program and then begin full-time with us on September 12th. Deacon Andrés will serve as a deacon and member of our staff as the final part of his formation for the priesthood. Please keep him and all of our seminarians in your prayers.

Both Laura and Deacon Andrés are bilingual (English and Spanish) and will be great additions to our parish in their new roles. I look forward to welcoming them both and to sharing more exciting developments with you in the next few weeks.

Estoy muy feliz de compartir con ustedes algunos desarrollos nuevos para nuestro clero y personal. Primero, a partir del lunes 19 de abril, la Srta. Laura Coronilla pasará de su papel de medio tiempo en formación de fe a tiempo completo como nuestra nueva recepcionista parroquial. Laura estará en la recepción del Trinity Center de 8 am a 4:30 pm de lunes a viernes. Esto nos permitirá brindarle un mejor servicio al tener a alguien de tiempo completo para contestar el teléfono de la oficina, saludarlo y ayudarlo con las intenciones de la Misa, las inscripciones de eventos y todos aspectos de la vida parroquial. También continuaremos atendiendo la entrada de la Iglesia de 9 am a 11 am.

En segundo lugar, tenemos la suerte de que el obispo Zarama haya asignado al Diácono Andrés Arévalo, uno de nuestros seminaristas que fue ordenado al diaconado el sábado pasado, para que esté con nosotros para un año pastoral. Estará en el Instituto de Formación Sacerdotal en Omaha, NE este verano para un programa de espiritualidad y luego comenzará a tiempo completo con nosotros el 12 de septiembre. El Diácono Andrés servirá como diácono y como miembro de nuestro personal como parte final de su formación para el sacerdocio. Por favor, manténgalo a él y a todos nuestros seminaristas en sus oraciones.

Tanto Laura como el diácono Andrés son bilingües (inglés y español) y serán grandes adiciones a nuestra parroquia en sus nuevos roles. Espero darles la bienvenida a ambos y compartir con ustedes más novedades interesantes en las próximas semanas.
