ATTENDING MASS
Absolutely! We heartily invite you to come and participate in a Mass. If you've never been to a Catholic Mass before, you may find this link a helpful resource, but you are welcome to just come and check us out. If the sit, stand, kneel rituals seem daunting, don't worry - just watch your neighbor and mimic what they do. You'll get the hang of it, and we aren't judging you!
A note on Communion - you may have heard that Communion is reserved for Catholics only. While this is true, it's not because of exclusivity or to be unwelcoming. The Eucharist is Jesus' Body and Blood - truly present, not just symbolic - and so receiving Communion has momentous weight. As such, one has to go through education first to understand why and be able to truly respond amen (I believe) when the priest gives them Communion. You don't have to just remain in your pew though - you are welcome to come up for a blessing from the priest. Simply cross your arms in an X across your chest, and the priest or deacon will know to give you a blessing.
Want to become Catholic so you can receive the Eucharist (among other awesome blessings)? Check out this page!
Most of our attendees tend to wear business casual attire. A good rule of thumb is to think about what you would wear to a nice restaurant - after all, the Mass is the Supper of the Lord! You are welcome to wear whatever you feel is respectful and comfortable.
Yes! If you need a low gluten host, please join the Communion line for the celebrant. When you approach, place your right hand over your heart to indicate to the priest that you need a low gluten host.
We do offer a cry room for families who would feel more comfortable watching the Mass there with their children. It can be accessed from the Gathering Space (narthex) and is located near the choir loft.
Please note that this room is offered for your comfort and not to alienate children from our liturgy - we welcome wiggles! However, if you would prefer to utilize that room to offer your children some space to roam around during Mass, you are more than welcome to do so!
We do! Just ask one of our Hospitality Ministers for assistance.
Our Hospitality Ministers are more than happy to assist you with any needs you may have during your attendance at one of our weekend Masses! Just find someone wearing a gold name tag, and they can help you find seating, obtain information, and answer any questions you may have.
CAMPUS AND FACILITIES
Where to park depends on where on campus you are headed, but generally speaking, all parking lots are open for use at any time except for those spaces that have reserved signs for handicapped parking, clergy parking, or our school parking. This campus map can help you find where you are going on campus and the closest parking lot to the building.
Men's and women's bathrooms are located along the side entry wings - our Hospitality Ministers are happy to point them out to you if you have trouble locating them!
The confessionals can be accessed from the left of the Gathering Space.
Holy Water fillers are available on either side of the Gathering Space.
Yes! Our campus is handicap accessible. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out and we are happy to help you navigate campus.
Within the church, there are pews that offer space for wheelchairs; please see a Hospitality Minister for assistance if you need help finding those areas. Additionally, those with walkers or who are not able to kneel may also utilize the pews along the back wall which do not have kneelers attached.
